Episode Summary

While fighting with Ichigo, Captain Byakuya Kuchiki asks him why he wants to save Rukia. Ichigo responds by asking Byakuya why he won’t save her himself. Later, after running away from the execution area, Jushiro Ukitake, 13th division captain, and Shunsui Kyouraku, 8th division captain, prepare to face off against the Commander of the Gotei 13, Genryuusai Yamamoto. Upset because the others have betrayed him, Yamamoto releases his Soul Slayer and begins his attack.
