Barragan survives Soi Fon’s bankai attack and retaliates by attacking with Respira, rotting away Hachi’s arm in the process. As the battle continues, Barragan remembers the first time he met Aizen and the circumstances surrounding his joining of the Espada. With everything on the line, Hachi tries one more time to put an end to the self-proclaimed “God of Hueco Mundo.”

With Tosen on the battlefield, Hisagi joins Komamura in an attempt to bring his former captain back. Meanwhile, the Vizards and the Soul Reapers team up to take down the remaining Espada. Lisa, Hiyori, and Hitsugaya join together to take on Halibel, Love and Rose try to defeat Stark, and Hachi, Omaeda, and Soi Fon fight against Barragan. However, even with their combined powers, the Espada still prove to be more than a match for them.

The Vizards finally arrive to help the Shinigami and old comrades briefly talk. As the Shinigami wonder whether to trust the Vizards, Shinji has his sights set on Aizen. Komamura and Tosen finally cross blades, and a third party arrives to join their fight.

With Ukitake teaming up with Kyoraku, the fight against Starrk seems to be going well. However, when Wonderweiss and a gigantic Hollow show up on the battlefield, the tables soon turn on the Soul Society’s forces when he revives the fallen Espada.

Kyouraku’s battle against Stark finally begins as Stark reveals the secret of his bond with Lilinette and releases his Resurrección form. As such Kyouraku is forced to start taking things more seriously and he even goes so far as to release his Shikai. However, even that may not be enough to defeat the number one Espada and in the end Ukitake steps in to help him out.

Things start to look desperate for Oomaeda and Soi Fon in their fight against Barragan. Whilst Oomaeda keeps him busy Soi Fon prepares to use the technique which she despises most… her Bankai! Meanwhile, Kyouraku’s battle against Stark finally starts to become serious and Ukitake continues to underestimate Lilinette.

Hitsugaya shows Halibel the true power of Hyourinmaru but in releasing his ultimate technique he risks the lives of his comrades. Meanwhile, Soi Fon and Oomaeda take on Barragan but Oomaeda proves more of a liability than an asset and even Soi Fon appears to be no match for Barragan’s unique ability.

Hitsugaya continues his fight with Halibel. Unfortunately, Halibel is far stronger in her Resurrección form than Hitsugaya anticipated. To make matters even worse their battle puts at risk the lives of the injured vice-captains forcing Hitsugaya to make a difficult decision. Meanwhile, the other Shinigami continue their own battles against the top ranked Espada.

In Hueco Mundo Renji, Rukia and Chad encounter serious problems in their fight against Yammy. Meanwhile, back in the Real World the Shinigami continue their fight against the Espada but things do not seem to be going well, especially for Hitsugaya. Despite being forced to use his Bankai Hitsugaya is still being pushed back by Halibel and to make things even worse the number three Espada is about to release her Resurrección form.

Rukia, Renji and Chad continue their fight against Rudobone. However, no sooner do they finish him off than a very angry Yammy appears. Meanwhile, Ichigo’s fight against Ulquiorra finally comes to an end, albeit one that none of them expected.
